Do you want Arab Americans to make a difference in this election? Then pack your bags and get ready to head to Pennsylvania! Turning out the vote in Philadelphia could be the difference between a win and a loss in Pennsylvania!

Volunteering is one of the most effective (and fun!) ways you can make a difference. Thanks to very generous donations from Arab American community leaders, expenses including transportation and housing for Arab American volunteers will be covered! (All you have to pay for about is your meals.)

Primary day is Tuesday, April 22 and group trips to Philadelphia will be organized from New York and Washington, DC the weekends of:

Formal Censure for Congressman Steve King

On March 7, Iowa Congressman Steve King (R) said "The radical Islamists, the al-Qaida ... would be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on Sept. 11 because they would declare victory in this war on terror" if Barack Obama were elected president. He added, "His middle name does matter. It matters because they read a meaning into that."

This is an outrage!

Readers from around the globe visit this blog and I'm calling on all of you to take action or these types of attacks on our culture will increase. We cannot let him get away with this ugliness.

Do not let Congressman King, the Ranking Member of House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security and International Law, off the hook for making these bigoted and inflammatory statements! Call your member of Congress and express your belief that King should be formally censured by Congress. You can visit the Arab American Institute website and find out who your representative is, and how to contact him or her.
