ADC DC Area Chapter Board Elections





The ADC DC Area Chapter (ADC-DC) Board Elections will take place next month.

Sunday, October 6 at 6 p.m. 
Arlington County Public Library’s Central Branch
1015 N Quincy St., Arlington, VA 22201.

Nominations are being accepted for at least seven positions on the Board of Directors for two year terms. Submit your nomination online below or in person at the election.

All Board members must be current ADC members at the time of election and maintain current status throughout their terms. To join or renew your membership, please visit http://www.adc.org/join-adc/.

The objective of ADC-DC is to promote the purposes and policies of ADC-National. ADC-DC shall concentrate its efforts in the greater DC Area. ADC-DC shall support the human and civil rights of all peoples and oppose racism and bigotry in any form. It welcomes the participation and support of all persons of all ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds.

The Board of Directors of ADC-DC constitutes the administrative body of the Chapter. It is responsible for management and operation of the Chapter, including but not limited to event organizing and promotion; fundraising; promotion of ADC-National events and mission; and overall strategic plan for the ADC-DC Chapter.

Arab Idol comes to Washington

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is pleased to host its third annual cultural event entitled "Turaath: Celebrating Arab Culture in America."

This year's event is organized by ADC's Women's Initiative and will feature the 2013 Arab Idol winners; acclaimed Palestinian vocalist Mohammad Assaf, Syrian songstress Farah Youssef, and Lebanese vocalist Ziad Khoury.
