4th Annual National Arab American Service Day

Saturday, May 17

Powell Elementary School
Northwest Washigton, DC

Arab American communities across the U.S. will be doing service together. Be a part of it in Washington!

Join the Arab American Institute Foundation (AAIF), the Network of Arab American Professionals (NAAP), and Serve DC to help beautify Powell Elementary School in the Georgia-Petworth neighborhood. This year we are teaming up with AmeriCorps members in the Washington, D.C. area and combining Arab American Service Day with All Corps Service Day. At Powell Elementary School, the only thing separating the students from gang members in the alley on the south side is a chain link fence. This is why all of our Service Day activities, including the mural we paint, will share the common goal of gang prevention through positive action. Please be a part of this special effort to improve our local neighborhood!
