Ghassan Tarazi, Executive Director and Melinda Borne, Director of Programs of United Palestinian Appeal (UPA) will discuss what they learned from their travels to Palestine (Melinda's trip to Gaza immediately after the end of Israel 's invasion and Ghassan's trip to the West Bank last month). They will share with the Peace Café members first hand experiences they had with Palestinians who are confronted with tremendous challenges in everyday life. They will also discuss UPA's upcoming spring campaign, Greening Palestine.

Established in 1978, the UPA is dedicated to providing aid to Palestinians, especially children, in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. UPA provides both emergency humanitarian relief and long-term development programs to Palestinian communities striving for economic and social development in the wake of ongoing conflict.
