Institute for Policy Studies Fellow and Middle East expert Phyllis Bennis is launching her new book. UNDERSTANDING THE PALESTINIAN-ISRAELI CONFLICT:A PRIMER is just coming off the press from Interlink Publishing and will be available for the first time in Washington. The book is written as a series of "Frequently Asked Questions" that include the histories of Israel and Palestine, the role of the US in the Middle East, anti-Semitism and Zionism, the Israeli occupation, and what a just and lasting peace would look like, taking the book right up through the relationship between Israel-Palestine and the war in Iraq and this summer's Lebanon war. Bennis will discuss all of that, as well as the immediate crisis in the Occupied territories.
