NDPAC Board member Dr. Ali Hossaini honored at 20th Candidate Night in Northern Virginia

Long time activist, community leader, and NDPAC board member Dr. Ali Hossaini was awarded the Arab American Institute’s “Lifetime Achievement Award” by the president of the Arab American Institute Dr. James Zogby at the AAI’s 20th annual candidates night dinner at the Crystal Gateway Marriot in Arlington Virginia .

The dinner was attended by 400 people and several elected officials including Governor Tim Kaine, Congressman Jim Moran, Congressman Tom Davis, Delegate Brian Moran.

Dr. Hossani was born in 1928 In Basra Iraq, graduated from the American University of Beirut in 1953, and moved to the US in 1955. Dr. Hossaini lived and worked at several medical centers in the country and finally settled in Virginia where. He was the director of the blood bank at the Medical College of Virginia as well as director of the Family Blood Grouping Laboratories.
