On the Ground in Gaza

Experts will speak about the current situation on the ground in the Gaza Strip and address what is needed in the near and long term to abate the crisis and ensure reconstruction.

Presenters include:
Andrew Whitley, Director of the Representative Office of UNRWA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) in New York. Mr. Whitley is responsible for the Agency’s relations with the United Nations and with the U.S. and Canadian Governments. He joined UNRWA in July 2002.

Samer Badawi, Director of United Palestinian Appeal. Established in 1978, United Palestinian Appeal (UPA) was the first Palestinian-American charity to be registered with the USAID. UPA continues to respond to the urgent needs in Gaza while raising awareness about the ongoing humanitarian crisis there.
